The guide Darrel Daniels was a local with a perspective unlike other guides. He knew historical events and landmarks as well as personal details that added authenticity to our experience.

Great trip! First of all, this is not the trip I originally booked. Due to scheduling changes, my shorter morning trip became unavailable but the director phoned me immediately and offered me a choice of another trip at the cost of my original booking. So my friend and I ended up on this longer trip, guided by Captain Don. It was just us and another couple. Don was so knowledgeable and so eager to show us around. He had spotted a group of dolphins mating earlier in the day, so we zipped right out and he located them -- I mean, how often do you get to watch dolphins canoodling right in front of you? Then we headed further out and Don took us to whatever looked interesting, which was a lot. We stopped at 2 small islets/cays/beaches? I don't know the proper word. But anyway, he showed us all sorts of interesting marine and bird life, as well as local vegetation and objects of historic interest such as the ancient oyster shell wall. Believe me, it's impressive. If you are guided by Captain Don, make sure to ask him about Nyad -- he has a lot to tell you. All in all, a wonderful outing with a very pleasant and knowledgable guide. I'd repeat this trip if I were in the area, that's how good it was.

We had am amazing time - Dan was our captain, and it ended up being just our family group on the boat. We saw a lot of wildlife during the tour - baby horseshoe crabs, nesting birds, and several dolphins (including a group that played near the boat for a while). The sandbar where we anchored to walk was beautiful, and we also got a chance to see some really interesting artifacts from the first people who had lived in the Everglades. Dan was a great captain - tremendously knowledgeable and friendly - and we got a chance to see things on the tour that we wouldn't have even known to look for without his expertise. Cannot recommend the tour highly enough!

We had a great time during our 3-day, 2-night adventure. Don McCumber (our guide) made the excursion even better. I expected him to be knowledgeable various channels and islands ... I was not surprised that he was engaging and participated with our crazy group during our campfire sing-a-longs!BUT ... I had no idea that he would have so much knowledge about the myriad of flora, fauna and creatures that we encountered. His insights into the various conchs, mollusks and crustaceans and their interactions was a highlight for me.AND ... did I mention his culinary talents? The menu was diverse, filling and flavorful ... I had not expected this.I should also mention the company in general (Charles, Dan). Easy to work with and flexible. Excellent boating, beach combing and kayaking experience with Captain Jerry. He was friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, the wildlife and culture, etc. My family and I were the only passengers that afternoon so he asked what we wanted to see/experience most and was happy to tailor the trip to make that happen. We really enjoyed the variety of being able to boat, kayak and spend time looking for shells on a beach outside the park. Would highly recommend this tour and this captain if you want a small group experience that focuses on the environment of the Everglades.

Serene peaceful nature experience. We had a lovely small group and were able to experience the true mangrove area away from the Marco crowds. Loved seeing the dolphins and birds and getting quietly away in kayaks.

Our guide was awesome - we learned a lot about the local flora and fauna and kept the tour fun and light.

Fantastic tour in the Everglades National Park! This is out in the ocean so no alligators but saw 4 dolphins (by kayak and jumping our boat waves), many different birds, tons of crabs, and learned a lot about the the history and ecology of the area. Captain Don is a true pro!

Excellent tour of 10,000 Islands and the mangroves … Captain Dan knows his stuff , narrative items of the surrounding areas ,and of cultural interest … even managed to get the Dolphins to “ surf” behind the boat . My wife & I were very impressed with the tour , and highly recommend this experience !

Amazing morning in the Everglades! We loved seeing dolphins, manatees, a bird rookery and a stingray. The tour was perfect for our family. We loved hearing about the history and the wildlife.

Had an easy drive down thru Everglade City. Captain Dan was wonderful! Saw dolphins, manatees, pelicans, egrets and blue herons.
